Lending a Helping Hand
Grenadians United in Virginia, Inc.

Our Mission

Grenadians United in Virginia, Inc., also known as GUIVA was formed in 1996. We are a nonprofit humanitarian organization dedicated to help improve the health care in Grenada Carriacou and Petit Martinique, through continuing medical and nursing education and providing medical supplies and equipment by utilizing donated funds and services of volunteer groups, professionals and generous corporations.  The Organization also collaborates with other local charitable organizations, such as the American Red Cross in order to achieve its goals.

In 1997, Grenadians United in Virginia Inc., was declared exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Services code as an organization described in section 501c 3. This means we are a publicly supported organization.  The assets of the organization are at all times dedicated to the purposes outlined above, and none of the net earnings in part or whole benefit any private individual, association, or corporation.
